Welcome to our class web site. I am looking forward to meeting my new students and their families! I will post our class schedule, important events, and photos. The curriculum tab contains information about our language arts, math, and social studies programs. There are also websites and activities to support learning that are linked for student use. In this section, there is also information that answers questions about NWEA Map testing and Compass Learning.
About The Teacher
I have lived in Lake Forest for twenty-five years. I love school and learning. I earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University, an M.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing from the University of New Haven, and an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Illinois University.
In addition to teaching, I have worked in personnel, as a technical writer/editor, and as a research psychologist. I am delighted to have worked for Lake Forest School District 67 for many years. This is my eighth year as a second grade teacher; and I also taught third grade for four years.
I truly enjoy teaching elementary school children because they are so eager to learn. It is wonderful seeing their skills and interests grow. I look forward to an exciting year!
